NLG Social Learning disability team are currently recruiting for a number of Autism Support Workers to support children and adults with diagnoses of ASD.
The role will involve supporting service users both physically and emotionally in activities of daily living. Daily activities will be varied and will range from accessing educational support on a 1/1 basis, social activities, support for physical and emotional wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) also experience working with individuals with Autism.
MAPA or Team Teach trained is desirable.

This position is compliant with Para. 1 Sch.9 of The Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements and is also subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. As such it will be required for a submission for an Enhanced Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB), to check for any previous criminal convictions that do not meet the previous offences filtering process.
